What is Leather Pride?
Leather Pride is an opportunity to increase the visibility of the leather, BDSM, and other kink communities, while also giving an opportunity for people across the whole spectrum of BDSM and kink to connect.
Why is Leather Pride important?
Everyone’s got a bit of kink in them! Visibility plays an important role in helping others learn about and explore their interests, and gives them permission to try out new things themselves. A healthy relationship with your kinks means a healthy sexuality and healthy sex life!
Is Leather Pride only about leather?
Not at all! Folks attending Leather Pride events wear ALL SORTS of gear - from lycra to latex, crop tops to jock bottoms, lingerie and lace and everything in between. Whatever community they associate with, whether BDSM, kink, rubber, bear, fur, pet, or general alt-life, participants are encouraged to dress their best and let their kinkiness fly, whatever the gear!
Are participants streaming all weekend?
Some are! But many are choosing one day, or a couple days. There's no obligation on the number of days to stream, or the length of the stream. Do what works for you, because in the end all visibility counts!
How can I support if I’m not a streamer?
The easiest thing to do? Simply tune in! Ask questions, participate in the chat, support the content creators who are putting themselves out there as representatives of an oft misunderstood group. Of course if that streamer is running a charity drive in conjunction with their stream, and you’re able to contribute, that’s the best way to help make a lasting impact and exert change for our community!
